Blogging just keeps getting bigger and better every year – something we definitely notice over at BritMums, where membership continues to mushroom (up from 2k last year to 3.5k this year and climbing). At BritMums we have the BiB Awards celebrating great blogging. As a co-founder of BritMums I can’t take part in those except to administer them, but awards that focus on excellence and help improve blogging are a great idea. The MADS – organised by our fellow blogger Sally Whittle – are a fixture on the parent blogging calendar.

This year, I’d like to be nominated as Best MAD Travel Blog. Travel is a real passion, back from the days I lived in New York and Paris and regularly wrote for Travel+Leisure magazine, The Wall Street Journal and Frommer’s Budget Travel.
