Jennifer Howze is a journalist, writer and content strategist. She cofounded BritMums, the UK’s original parent blogging network. She has written about travel for The Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Wall Street Journal Europe, CNN.com, The Guardian, Yahoo! Travel, Travel+Leisure, Frommer’s Budget Travel and others. In addition to running BritMums with partner Susanna Scott (aka A Modern Mother), she has served as editor-in-chief of the popular BritMums blog, created thousands of successful content campaigns for brands ranging from Virgin Money to McDonald’s to Visit Spain, as well as organising and programming the BritMums influencer conference.
Current projects include consulting on Noon, a ground-breaking site for women in midlife, founded by former Sunday Times editorial director Eleanor Mills.
Jennifer has appeared frequently on TV and radio, including Sky News, Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, BBC’s Breakfast and BBC regional radio. She has worked in print and online media for more than 20 years, at publications in the UK and the US. Previously, she was the online lifestyle editor at The Times, where she founded the newspaper’s Alpha Mummy blog and before that she worked at websites and print magazines, including several Conde Nast titles.

She specialises in lifestyle, parenting and travel writing. Her essays and articles have appeared in leading publications in the UK, Europe and the US, including The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The Wall Street Journal, CNN.com, Travel+Leisure, Frommer’s Budget Travel, SELF magazine, Allure, Seventeen, Time Out New York, and The New York Observer, among others. Her creative writing has been longlisted for the Deborah Rogers Foundation Writers Award 2021, the Mslexia Novel Competition 2020 and the London Independent Story Prize in flash fiction.
Her work has appeared in two books: Standing Up to Supernanny 2009 (Societas) and Budget Travel’s Secret Hotels.
In 2006 she was awarded the “Maggie” from the Planned Parenthood Federation of America for her article: “Vagina 101: What’s normal and what’s not” for Seventeen magazine.
