Don’t forget the Blogladesh chat today!

TweetOver on the official British Mummy Bloggers blog, which I write and edit along with BMB founder Susanna, we’ll be chatting live with the three bloggers who have gone to Bangladesh with Save the Children. The trip is to raise support and awareness of STC’s Press for Change program, which pushes for action on the Millenium Development Goals. Never heard of them? These are goals set out by 189 nations who attended a UN summit in 2000. The UN site says: With only five years left until the 2015 deadline to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called on world leaders to attend a summit in New York on 20-22 September 2010 to accelerate progress towards the MDGs. That’s what these bloggers, along with celebrities like Antonio Banderas, Zinedine Zidane and Annie Lennox, are doing: raising awareness and putting pressure on government to live up to the commitments it made in 2000. Get over the BMB blog and join the chat! Jump in with questions, observations, even skepticism. This is about helping children who die from treatable conditions like diarrhoea and malaria, and creating a dialogue around the best way we can do that – both as individuals and as voters. Chat starts at 1pm. Join the chat now! (photograph: © Josie George)...
