Jennifer Howze is a journalist and co-founder of BritMums, the UK’s largest and most influential parent blogging network. She has written about travel for The Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Wall Street Journal Europe, Yahoo! Travel, Travel+Leisure, Frommer’s Budget Travel and others. In addition to running BritMums with partner Susanna Scott (aka A Modern Mother), she is editor-in-chief of the popular BritMums blog and does the programming for BritMums events.
Jennifer appears frequently on TV and radio, including Sky News, Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, BBC’s Breakfast and BBC regional radio. She has worked in print and online media for more than 20 years, at publications in the UK and the US. Previously, she was the online lifestyle editor at The Times, where she founded the newspaper’s Alpha Mummy blog.
She specialises in lifestyle, parenting and travel writing. Her essays and articles have appeared in leading publications in the UK, Europe and the US, including The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The Wall Street Journal, CNN.com, Travel+Leisure, Frommer’s Budget Travel, SELF magazine, Allure, Seventeen, Time Out New York, and The New York Observer, among others.
In 2006 she was awarded the “Maggie” from the Planned Parenthood Federation of America for an article entitled “Vagina 101: What’s normal and what’s not” for Seventeen magazine.
