Jennifer Howze is the co-founder of BritMums, the UK’s largest and most influential parent blogging network. In addition to running the network with partner Susanna Scott (aka A Modern Mother), she edits the popular BritMums blog.
Jennifer has worked in print and online media for more than 20 years, at publications in the UK and the US. Previously, she was the online lifestyle editor at The Times, where she founded the newspaper’s Alpha Mummy blog. She also co-founded the CyberMummy conference, which debuted in July 2010 and ran for two years. She has appeared frequently on TV and radio, including Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, BBC’s Breakfast and BBC regional radio.
She specialises in lifestyle, parenting and travel writing. Her essays and articles have appeared in leading publications in the UK, Europe and the US, including The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The Wall Street Journal, CNN.com, Travel+Leisure, Frommer’s Budget Travel, SELF magazine, Allure, Seventeen, Time Out New York, and The New York Observer, among others.
In 2006 she was awarded the “Maggie” from the Planned Parenthood Federation of America for an article entitled “Vagina 101: What’s normal and what’s not” for Seventeen magazine.
