Now I have another reason to go: the Tales on Moon Lane bookshop. I’ve heard things here and there about this bookshop – great for kids, enchanting, and so on. In a recent blog post, Nell Gifford – who founded the excellent Gifford’s Circus of which I am a personal and avid fan – calls it the “best children’s bookshop in the world“.
Have you visited it? Is she right? Is it worth a drive over to browse the titles? They’ve got some great events listed on their website and won a bookseller’s award in 2011. One thing I think I like the best, they offer “book baskets” – gifts for new babies or christening presents.

Any shop that has a pair of big girls’ pant is alright by me! How fabulous! I have great memories of Dulwich as my Uncle and cousins lived at worked at the prep school there for hundreds of years…
They do have some great schools there. Also, some fab kid-friendly pubs. Hmm, I wonder why I know about those than about the book shops?
oh my gosh, that looks amazing.
this is my local bookshop and i can confirm that i probably is the best book shop in the WORLD.
i have bought many glorious books from this store for my son which we have enjoyed time and time again.
dulwich on a whole is pretty child focused, it’s all a bit baby boom. probably a bit much for those without kids, but by the evening it’s great for those without!
come and visit again soon
